British watch retailer Watches of Switzerland Group Plc has negotiated the sale of assets to private ownership. This is reported by foreign media.
Watches of Switzerland is one of the world's most renowned sellers of premium watches in Europe and the United States, with the Rolex brand accounting for half of the company's sales.
The management of Watches expects to receive offers in the amount of 7.50 pounds ($10) per share and above. In 2026, Watches shares increased by 55% to 7.20 pounds against the backdrop of high demand for premium Rolex and Cartier watches.
Despite the fact that Watches of Switzerland was able to weather the downturn in the luxury goods sector better than others, the company plans to abandon plans to double sales and profits by the end of 2028.
Watches of Switzerland is a British retailer of Swiss watches under the Goldsmiths, Mayors and Betteridge brands. The company operates 221 stores in the UK, USA and Europe, including 96 mono—brand boutiques opened in partnership with Rolex, Omega, TAG Heuer, Breitling, Tudor, Audemars Piguet, Seiko, Bulgari and Fope. The headquarters is located in Brownstone (UK).
