Burn Company, together with AIM Carbon, has opened a production line for eco-friendly furnaces in Malawi. The project will increase the production of low-cost solutions for environmentally friendly cooking. This is stated in the Burn message.

The Blantyre enterprise occupies 2 thousand square meters of production and warehouse space. The plant will produce up to 50,000 biomass eco-furnaces per month after reaching full capacity. Ecoplita ECOA Char runs on coal. This model can provide 72% thermal efficiency and save 40-65% fuel.

Burn plans to distribute 2 million clean plates throughout the Republic of Malawi by 2030. This will improve the lives of over 8 million people, prevent emissions of 18 million tons of CO₂ and save 9.6 million tons of wood. This program can generate more than $60 million in subsidies from carbon credits and provide $400 million in fuel savings for households.

The Malawi program is part of a broader initiative to distribute 1.2 million clean plates in Malawi, Madagascar, Tanzania, Kenya and Nigeria.

Burn is a manufacturer and distributor of environmentally friendly furnaces. The company operates in 14 African countries.

AIM Carbon is an international developer of climate projects.
