Canadian Ovivo Inc. and its shareholder SKion Water GmbH have entered into a definitive agreement to sell Ovivo's electronics division to Ecolab. The company's value under the deal is about $2.4 billion. This is reported in the Ovivo press release.
The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026, subject to the parties obtaining regulatory approval and meeting other standard conditions. Ovivo's legal advisor was McCarthy Tétrault LLP.
This agreement will open up new prospects and opportunities for the Ecolab electronics division. The deal will also allow Ovivo to accelerate progress in its three main business areas.
Ovivo Inc. is a Canadian supplier of equipment, technologies and systems for water and wastewater treatment. The company belongs to SKion Water GmbH, a subsidiary of the investment holding company SKion GmbH.
