Cargo turnover of Russian seaports decreased by 1.5% in 10 months%

The cargo turnover of Russian seaports in January-October 2025 amounted to 732.6 million tons. This is 1.5% less than in the same period of 2024, according to the website of the Association of Commercial Seaports.

The volume of transshipment of dry cargo decreased by 2.1% to 362.9 million tons. Coal transshipment increased by 6.2% to 168.8 million tons, cargo in containers decreased by 2.5% to 44.4 million tons. Transshipment of mineral fertilizers amounted to 38.7 million tons (+7.8%), grain – 39.4 million tons (-39.4%), ferrous metals – 19.3 million tons (+24.1%), ore – 12.8 million tons (+33.9%).

The volume of bulk cargo transshipment decreased by 0.7% to 369.7 million tons, including petroleum products – by 6.6% to 102.1 million tons, food cargo – by 13.9% to 4.5 million tons. Transshipment of crude oil increased by 2% to 229.5 million tons, and liquefied natural gas increased by 3.1% to 30.4 million tons.

574.7 million tons of export cargo were overloaded, which is 2.1% less than in the same period last year. 34.1 million tons (-3.1%) of imported cargo were overloaded, 62.1 million tons (+13.2%) of transit cargo, and 61.9 million tons (-7.7%) of coastal cargo.
