In the Russian Federation, the cash turnover in 2025 amounted to 125.7 trillion rubles. This is 3.4% less than in 2024, according to the website of the Bank of Russia.
Transactions with "live" money were carried out mainly by individuals. At the same time, they have become less likely to pay for goods and services in cash, the regulator emphasizes.
In 2025, the volume of such operations amounted to 6.7 trillion rubles, which is 16% less than a year earlier. Cash inflows to individual accounts decreased by 21% to RUB 11.7 trillion.
The volume of ATM withdrawals and deposits reached 76.2 trillion rubles, almost remaining at the level of the previous year. This accounted for more than 60% of the total cash turnover.
