Climeworks has completed the first stage of testing Svante structured adsorption technology at its test site in Switzerland. The effectiveness of the third generation direct air capture (DAC) technology has been confirmed. This is stated in the company's message.

A new generation of technologies using Svante structured adsorbents makes it possible to reduce energy consumption by 2 times and double the ability to capture CO₂. The technology maintains high performance for more than 1.3 thousand cycles and in a wide range of real-world conditions.

Svante structured adsorbents provide faster adsorption and desorption of CO₂. This allows you to increase the number of cycles while maintaining low airflow resistance. The Svante structure also provides higher mechanical stability and durability, as well as low CO₂ emissions during production.

Climeworks was founded in 2009. The company is a leader in direct carbon capture (DAC) technology. It offers comprehensive carbon removal solutions based on natural and engineering technologies with direct carbon capture from the air as the basis.
