Commerzbank's net profit in 2024 increased by 20% to almost 2.7 billion euros. Operating profit increased by 12% to 3.8 billion euros, revenue — by 6% to 11.1 billion euros. The cost-income ratio has improved to 59%, the bank said in a statement.

Commerzbank expects a net profit target of 2.4 billion euros this year after and 2.8 billion euros before restructuring transformation costs. It is also planned to have a payout ratio of 100% of net profit after deducting coupons on AT 1 bonds and before restructuring transformation costs.

In addition, the bank expects that net income from fees will increase by an average of about 7% by 2028. It is also planned to improve the cost-income ratio to about 50%. The net profit target should be 4.2 billion euros, and the return on equity target should be 15%. Also, for the period from 2026 to 2028, it is planned to pay 100% of net profit after deducting AT 1 coupons.
