Consumer gasoline prices in September decreased by 0.4%

Consumer gasoline prices in September decreased by 0.4% compared to August 2021, producer prices - by 2%. This was reported by Rosstat.

In September, a decrease in consumer prices for automobile gasoline by 0.5% or more was noted in 32 subjects of the Russian Federation. Most noticeably, it fell in price in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra - by 1.9%.

The increase in prices for automobile gasoline was observed in 13 subjects of the Russian Federation. Most of all, it rose in price in the Republic of Tyva – by 2.1%, the Sakhalin region - by 1.5%, the Chechen Republic - by 1.2%.

In Moscow and St. Petersburg, over the past period, prices for automobile gasoline decreased by 0.5% and 0.7%, respectively.

Producer prices for automobile gasoline decreased by 2% on average. Gasoline has become cheaper in eight regions of the Russian Federation: in the Perm Region and the Volgograd Region - by 6.1%, in the Nizhny Novgorod Region - by 5.9%. In the republics of Tatarstan and Sakha (Yakutia), as well as the Leningrad region, prices for it remained at the level of August 2021. A significant increase in gasoline prices was noted in the Sakhalin region – by 19.2%.

Consumer prices for automobile gasoline on average in the Russian Federation exceeded producer prices by 1.9 times.

Producer prices for oil decreased by 5.7%, tariffs for its pumping by pipeline transport remained at the level of August 2021. The ratio of the price of oil within the country to its price on the world market in September was 76%.
