Deflation in the Russian Federation for the week from August 27 to September 2 amounted to 0.02%, from the beginning of September – 0.01%. Since the beginning of the year, consumer prices have increased by 5.17%. This was reported by Rosstat.
From August 27 to September 2, the following prices rose: butter by 0.8%, sterilized milk by 0.6%, sour cream by 0.5%, pasteurized milk and cottage cheese by 0.4%, wheat bread, biscuits, canned meat for baby food, hard, semi–hard and soft cheeses by 0.3%, pork, frozen fish, rice, millet, milk powder mixtures for baby food, table salt – 0.2%, beef, lamb, boiled sausages, rye bread, vermicelli – 0.1%.
Prices for fruits and vegetables decreased by 1.7%. Granulated sugar fell by 0.4%, chicken eggs – by 0.3%, chicken meat, wheat flour, buckwheat groats and black tea - by 0.2%, pasta – by 0.1%.
Gasoline prices increased by 0.2%. Economy class air travel fell by 8.8%.
