In the first half of 2025, 3.78 million loaded and empty TEU containers were transported through the Russian Railways network in all types of traffic, which is 2.9% less than in the same period of 2024. Shipments in domestic traffic fell by 3.2% to 1.499 million TEU. This is stated in the company's message.
The number of loaded containers shipped in all types of transport decreased by 5.1% and amounted to 2.7 million TEU. They transported 40.1 million tons of cargo, which is 1.3% less than a year earlier.

Loading on the Russian Railways network in January-June 2025 fell by 7.6% to 554.5 million tons compared to a year earlier. Passenger traffic increased by 2.6% to 626.9 million.
The net profit of Russian Railways holding in 2024 according to IFRS amounted to 50.7 billion rubles against 170.08 billion rubles a year earlier. The reduction is 70%. The total revenues of the holding increased by 9.2% to RUB 3.29 trillion.
