Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev instructed to create a register of best practices for the construction of sewage treatment plants. This was reported on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers following a meeting in the framework of incident No. 55 "Sewage treatment plants".
Dmitry Patrushev instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Construction, and the Ministry of Natural Resources to analyze all identified cases of substandard equipment within a month and create a register of best practices in the design and construction of wastewater treatment plants, indicating specific manufacturers of high-quality equipment.
In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed the Government to submit proposals for additional regulatory regulation of manufacturers of wastewater treatment equipment in order to improve its quality.
During the work in the framework of the incident, cases were identified when the equipment installed at a number of small sewage treatment plants does not provide the regulatory parameters of purification. The data obtained indicate the presence of systemic difficulties at such facilities, said D.Patrushev, whose words are quoted on the website.
Incident No. 55 "Sewage Treatment Plants" was established on June 15, 2024 to coordinate the construction and reconstruction of sewage treatment plants implemented within the framework of the national Ecology project, as well as to ensure the functioning of these facilities while achieving the parameters of regulatory wastewater treatment. Currently, work is being considered on 145 sites in 19 regions.
