The Central Bank has turned on the Bank DOM.RF is included in the register of participants in the experiment to establish special regulation for the implementation of partner (Islamic) financing. This is stated in the message of the bank.
Entry into the register will allow the bank to participate in the development of standards for partner financing. In the future, the bank is considering the possibility of applying the standards in the development of analogues of its main business products. This will meet the need for financial instruments that meet the values of customers.
The experiment on Islamic finance started in July 2023 in Dagestan, Chechnya, Bashkiria and Tatarstan. The main purpose of the experiment is to assess the interest of market participants in new financial instruments and expand the availability of services for Russian citizens and businesses. Currently, there are more than 30 organizations in the register of the Bank of Russia, including both large banks and companies, as well as small companies.
