Domodedovo Airport, which became state property by a court decision in June 2025, will be sold at an open auction in early 2026. The newspaper Vedomosti writes about this with reference to the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov.

"There are willing people, there are investors," he said. The sale will be carried out taking into account all the decisions previously taken by the government, the minister added.

The decision to transfer 100% of the shares of DME Holding, which owns the airport's assets, to state revenue was made by the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region on June 17, 2025. The Prosecutor General's Office's claim was based on the conclusions that the final beneficiaries of the airport, Dmitry Kamenshchik and Valery Kogan, being residents of other states, in violation of Russian law, disposed of the assets of the strategic enterprise and transferred its profits abroad. The Arbitration Court of the Moscow District upheld this decision, rejecting the cassation appeal of D.Kamenshchik.

Lomonosov Domodedovo International Airport is one of the four main airports in Moscow and the Moscow Region. It operates regular flights to Russia, as well as to Europe, Asia and Africa.
