EVRAZ NTMK has invested over 2 billion rubles in the construction of a crushing and screening complex. It was built as part of the implementation of an investment project for the technical re-equipment of the slag yard No. 2 of the converter shop. This is stated in the company's message.
This complex will provide processing and preparation of vanadium slag for processing by EVRAZ enterprises. Commissioning has already begun at the crushing and screening complex in the company's converter shop.
More than 500 tons of metal structures manufactured by EVRAZ STEEL BUILDING have been installed at the site of slag yard No. 2. A highly efficient aspiration system will allow cleaning the work area from dust and impurities with the achievement of residual dust content up to 10 mg/cubic meter.
"The technical re–equipment of slag yard No. 2 will increase the volume of processing and shipment of vanadium slag, improve its quality characteristics, and reduce the burden on the environment," said Denis Novozhenov, Vice President of EVRAZ, head of the Ural division, quoted in the message.
EVRAZ is a vertically integrated metallurgical and mining company. The company is one of the largest steel producers in the world in terms of production volumes.
