Federal communications and press agencies abolished

Vladimir Putin, Russia President, has abolished the Federal Agency for press and mass communications and the Federal Communications Agency. The functions of the abolished agencies are transferred to the Ministry of digital development and mass communications of the Russian Federation, as it was informed in the statement on the Kremlin’s site.

As it is stated in the Presidential decree, this decision is aimed to improve the state management in the sphere of digitalization and communications development, as well as to achieve priority targets in digitalized economy and to reduce administrative barriers along with the optimization of the powers of the Federal executive institutions and the number of Federal state civil servants.
