Almost 300 startups in the field of artificial intelligence in January-November 2022 received grants of more than 1.6 billion rubles. Measures have been launched to allocate grants to startups in the amount of 50 million rubles for the implementation of AI solutions. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov at the forum, according to the ministry's message.
"Over the past three months, together with the Ministry of Finance, the BEAC, industry departments and large companies, we have held a series of sessions where we analyzed each industry for the implementation of AI. We reviewed more than 250 AI application cases and selected 70 of the most effective ones for further replication. Such screening showed that AI technology is a mature technology ready for replication. AI is a set of ready–made solutions that allow companies to achieve tangible efficiency for little money," M. Reshetnikov said.
The federal AI project laid the foundation for the development of artificial intelligence in Russia. 6 research centers in the field of AI have been created on the basis of leading scientific and educational organizations, which received grants in the amount of 2.4 billion rubles and additionally attracted over 1 billion rubles.
