In October 2025, individuals increased the volume of new investments in foreign currency deposits by more than 11 times to 234 billion rubles from 20 billion rubles per month on average in 2025. This is reported in the materials of the Bank of Russia.
In addition, public interest in ruble deposits recovered in October. After reduced volumes in August–September, the volume of new ruble deposits increased to 722 billion rubles, which is comparable to the average in the second quarter – 831 billion rubles per month.
At the same time, in October, the population's demand for stock market instruments began to fall compared to the third quarter. On average, individuals bought 2 times less securities for the main groups of instruments: investments in ruble–denominated corporate bonds decreased to 48.9 billion rubles from 88.5 billion, in shares – to 15.3 billion rubles from 31.8 billion rubles, in government bonds - to 33.4 billion rubles from 59.5 billion rubles.
