The events in the Suji area led to a sharp increase in prices for both natural gas and LNG. On August 9, the annual peak of stock prices was recorded. This was stated by Gazprom's official representative Sergey Kupriyanov, the company said in a statement.

In addition, according to S. Kupriyanov, planned routine maintenance work at the facilities of the Norwegian gas industry may become a significant factor.

"According to analysts, it is possible that these works may be delayed, as happened last year. Analysts also believe that the upward trend in gas prices will continue," S. Kupriyanov stressed.

Gazprom (INN 7736050003) is the world's largest gas company. The number of Gazprom shareholders in Russia and abroad is several hundred thousand. Over 50% of the company's shares are under the control of the Russian Federation.

The loss attributable to Gazprom's shareholders in accordance with IFRS for 2023 amounted to 629.08 billion rubles against a profit of 1.2 trillion rubles a year earlier. Revenue fell by 27%, to 8.5 trillion rubles, from 11.67 trillion rubles.
