Gazprom increased 3-month gas production by 10.5%

In March 2021, demand for gas supplied by Gazprom remained at winter levels. Production and supplies to consumers exceeded the previous year's level, the company informed.

According to preliminary data, the company produced a total of 136.2 billion cubic meters of gas in January-March 2021, which is 13 billion cubic meters (+10.5%) above the previous year's result.

Supplies from the gas transmission system to the domestic market increased by 21.4% (+17.3 bcm).

Gazprom increased supplies to most of the export destinations in the first quarter of 2021. In particular, exports to Turkey increased by 106.6%, exports to Germany by 33.3%, exports to Poland by 18.5%, exports to Serbia by 71.3%, exports to Finland by 67.3%, exports to Romania by 90.4%, exports to Bulgaria by 52.4%, exports to Greece by 23.4%. The company exported 52.7 billion cubic meters of gas to non-CIS countries in the first quarter, which is 12.4 bcm (30.7%) above the previous year's level.

Gas exports to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline continue to grow. Gas supplies regularly exceed Gazprom's daily contractual obligations.

IFRS profit of Gazprom for 2019 dropped by 17% to RUB 1.269 trillion from RUB 1.529 trillion a year earlier. Profit attributable to shareholders of PJSC Gazprom amounted to RUB 1.203 trillion against RUB 1.456 trillion. Profit from sales decreased by 42% to RUB 1.12 trillion from RUB 1.93 trillion, pre-tax profit by 12.2% to RUB 1.627 trillion from RUB 1.852 trillion. Sales revenue (net of excise tax, VAT and customs duties) decreased by 7% to RUB 7.659 trillion. The lower sales revenue mainly results from a lower revenue from gas sales to Europe and other countries.
