Gazprom Neft has commissioned the Arktichesky (“Arctic”) heliport at the Varandey rotational camp. In the first flight, 16 shift workers were delivered to the Prirazlomnaya drilling rig in the Barents Sea, the company informed.
Up to 26 helicopter flights will depart from the new heliport to Prirazlomnaya every month. The maximum heliport capacity is expected to reach about 10,000 people per year.
People are delivered to Prirazlomnaya using Gazprom avia’s upgraded MI-8 AMT helicopters.
