Gazprom reduced gas production by 13.2%

Gazprom produced 274.8 billion cubic meters of gas from January 1 to August 15, 2022, which is 13.2% less than a year earlier. The demand for the company's gas from the gas transmission system in the domestic market decreased by 2.3% during this period. Exports to non-CIS countries decreased by 36.2% and amounted to 78.5 billion cubic meters. Gazprom supplies gas according to confirmed applications. This is stated in the company's message.

Gas exports to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline are growing under a bilateral long-term contract between Gazprom and CNPC. Deliveries regularly go beyond the daily contract quantities.

According to Gas Infrastructure Europe, as of August 14, gas reserves in European UGS have been replenished by 48.6 billion cubic meters. To achieve the level of UGS occupancy at the beginning of the 2019/2020 selection season, companies will have to pump another 23.8 billion cubic meters.

It is noted that on the spot exchanges of Europe, gas prices broke through the $ 2.5 thousand mark. According to conservative estimates, if the trend continues, prices will exceed the level of $4 thousand per 1 thousand cubic meters in winter.
