GDP grew by 1.1% in the first 7 months of 2025. This was announced by the Cabinet of Ministers following a meeting on economic issues held by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The manufacturing sector remains the main engine of growth in industry, with an increase of 3.3%. Mechanical engineering has become the leader, and metallurgical and chemical complexes are also growing. The volume of work in the construction industry increased by 4.2%.
A number of decisions taken by the government and the Central Bank to curb prices have allowed for a gradual slowdown in inflation, the report says.
Positive trends continued in the labor market. The unemployment rate remains at a historic low of 2.2% for the third month in a row.
