Gelendzhik Airport will resume operations in the near future. The possibility of safe flights to Gelendzhik Airport has been confirmed by specialists from the Federal Air Transport Agency and the State ATM Corporation. Aviagavan, one of the 11 airports in Southern Russia, has not accepted aircraft since 2022 for security reasons. This was announced by the Ministry of Transport of Russia.

According to Aeroflot, its own regular flights on the Moscow — Gelendzhik route will resume on July 18. The flights will be operated on Airbus A320 narrow-body airliners in a two-class layout: economy and business.

The first flight will be performed on July 18. Next, on July 20 and 23, and from July 25, flights will be daily; on August 6, a second flight will be added, which will be operated daily from August 8 to mid-September.

Recall that in May 2024, the Elista Airport reopened in southern Russia.
