TeamViewer SE, a German remote access software company, has entered into an agreement to acquire the British software company 1E from the American investment company Carlyle Group Inc. This is reported in the TeamViewer press release.
The transaction value is $720 million. Financing involves the use of current credit lines and new debt instruments.
In 2024, TeamViewer shares fell by 21% to 11 euros per share, reducing the company's market value to 1.9 billion euros ($2 billion). The Carlyle Group acquired a controlling stake in 1E in 2021.
