Glavrybvod will release 5.1 million pieces of juvenile chum salmon into the rivers of Kamchatka according to the state assignment

The Paratunsky experimental production salmon hatchery under the jurisdiction of Rosrybolovstvo FSBI Glavrybvod will release into the rivers of Kamchatka more than 5.1 million pieces of juvenile chum salmon according to the state assignment and over 9.8 million pieces at its own expense. This was reported by Rosrybolovstvo.

The company has started the final stage of growing aquatic biological resources according to the state assignment. Fish farmers are restoring the population of chum salmon and coho salmon to replenish salmon stocks in the rivers of Kamchatka.

Salmon farming takes place in conditions that are close to natural. The proportion of chum salmon grown at the mouth of the Paratunka River is 89.9%. Releases of juvenile salmon will continue until the end of May.
