IEK Group has launched the IEK Opora production complex for the production of metal supports and masts in Maloyaroslavets, Kaluga Region. This is reported in the press release of the FRP.

Metal supports and masts are used for road, urban, and infrastructure lighting, as well as for communications and energy facilities. 550 million rubles have been invested in the project. The Federal Fund for Industrial Development (FFD) provided a preferential loan in the amount of 200 million rubles under the Development Projects program.

The complex has a full production cycle: from laser cutting and metal bending to welding and finishing. The capacity of the enterprise is 5 thousand tons of metal structures per year with the possibility of expansion. The range includes supports and masts, including structures up to 80 m high for the power grid infrastructure.

The company acquired high-tech metalworking equipment with the loan funds. The products are made of domestic steel, the localization level is 100%.

IEK Group has previously implemented projects with the support of the FRP: it has organized the production of double-walled pipes, colored cable ducts, metal cabinets, stairs and wire trays. A total of 590 million rubles have been funded for the projects.

The Industrial Development Fund (EDF) was established to modernize Russian industry, organize new production facilities and ensure import substitution.

FRP programs allow Russian enterprises to gain access to preferential loan financing necessary to launch production of unique domestic products, as well as analogues of advanced international developments.

The FRP provides loans at 3% and 5% per annum for up to 7 years in the amount of 5 million to 2 billion rubles, stimulating the inflow of direct investment into the real sector of the economy.

The flagship program of the Development Projects Foundation is aimed at producing products from the register of national projects to ensure technological leadership, the production of competitive and critical products, production facilities, equipment and machine tools, and assistance with the implementation of software and technological solutions to optimize production processes.

The Fund was established in 2014 on the initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation through the transformation of the Federal State Autonomous Institution "Russian Fund for Technological Development".
