Singapore's Igneo Infrastructure Partners and Japan's Orix Corp. They are among the participants in the tender for the acquisition of a controlling stake in Macquarie Asset Management in the Dutch Amsterdam 1 Data Center. This is reported by foreign media.

The value of the deal is estimated at 900 million euros ($1 billion). Bidders for the acquisition of assets, including Canada's Northleaf Capital, will submit final proposals in January 2026.

Negotiations are ongoing and do not guarantee a final agreement, as Macquarie may decide to retain the asset for a longer period.

Infrastructure has become a center of attraction for investors seeking to benefit from the rapid development of artificial intelligence amid competition between the largest alternative asset management companies. In October, Macquarie entered into an agreement to sell the Aligned data center for $40 billion to a consortium led by BlackRock Inc.

The Dutch Amsterdam 1 Data Center is part of a joint venture created by Macquarie and NTT Inc. in 2022 to develop data centers in Europe and North America. Macquarie owns 75% of the Dutch data center, and NTT owns 25%.
