In January-May 2026, Russia exported almost 117 thousand tons of soybean, rapeseed and flax meal/cake to Turkey, which exceeds the level in the same period of 2026 by 70%. This is stated in the message of Agroexport.

In particular, during the reporting period, shipments of flax meal/cake in the amount of 28 thousand tons were carried out for the first time.

Agroexport notes that Turkey turned out to be the main destination, along with Morocco, for the sale of these products. In the context of global overproduction of flax – against the background of high yields in 2025/26 in Russia, Canada and Kazakhstan – the national export portfolio has partially transformed in favor of value-added products, especially after the launch of a new flax processing plant in Russia in the south of the country.

Shipments of soybean meal to Turkey increased by 16% over the year. Sales of rapeseed meal increased by 45% to 48 thousand tons.
