In 2027, Russian Railways will fully switch to the Russian resource management system of a large enterprise. This was announced by the head of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov at the plenary session of CIPR 2025 in Nizhny Novgorod, the company said.
On behalf of the Russian government, Russian Railways is developing a national enterprise-level resource management system (RMS) to replace its foreign counterparts (ERP).
Russian Railways is ready to use the modules of procurement and contractual activities, part of the functionality of accounting, tax and management accounting, as well as individual functions of resource management, vehicle accounting and others.
The system, which will operate at Russian Railways, should serve 260 thousand users (up to 30 thousand at a time) and process about 300 million documents annually.
JSC "Russian Railways" (TIN 7708503727) was established on October 1, 2003 on the basis of the Ministry of Railways. The state owns 100% of the company's shares.
The net profit of Russian Railways holding in 2024 according to IFRS amounted to 50.7 billion rubles against 170.08 billion rubles a year earlier. The reduction is 70%. The total revenues of the holding increased by 9.2% to RUB 3.29 trillion.
Passenger traffic on the Russian Railways network increased by 2.2% to 507.5 million in the first 5 months of 2025 compared to a year earlier.
Loading on the Russian Railways network in January-May 2025 fell by 7.3% to 465.2 million tons compared to a year earlier.
