In August 2025, banks issued 119.50 thousand car loans to Russians for 174.4 billion rubles, the average loan receipt was 1.46 million rubles, and the average term was 66 months. This was announced by the United Credit Bureau.

Compared to the results of July, the number of car loans issued in August increased by 8%, and the volume increased by 10%. In July 2025, Russians issued 110.70 thousand loans for the purchase of cars in the amount of 158.29 billion rubles. The average car loan amount was 1.43 million rubles, the average loan term for the month did not change.

The number of disbursements decreased by 17% year—on-year, and the volume by 18%. In August 2024, 144.34 thousand car loans worth 213.78 billion rubles were issued. The average car loan decreased by 20 thousand rubles over the year from 1.48 million rubles. The average loan term has become shorter by 4 months: in August 2024, it was 70 months.
