In Russia, a mass mailing of tax notifications has begun for citizens to pay transport and land taxes and real estate tax for 2023. This was reported by the Federal Tax Service of Russia.
A total of 61.6 million such notifications are planned to be sent by October 20. Of these, about 40 million (+17% by 2023) are in electronic form through the taxpayer's personal account and personal account on the unified portal of state and municipal services to those who are connected to these services. To other taxpayers — by registered mail.
Tax notices are addressed to owners of taxable property: vehicles, land plots, real estate for the period of ownership during 2023.
The exception is notifications not exceeding 300 rubles, sent every three years. Also, tax notifications are not sent to persons who are completely exempt from paying taxes if there are appropriate benefits. There are also exceptions for some regions.
The taxes indicated in the notifications sent for 2023 must be paid no later than December 2, 2024.
