The volume of funds raised through the crowdfunding market since the beginning of its regulation in 2020. it amounted to 7 billion rubles, in 2021 - 13.8 billion rubles. This is stated in the Review of the crowdfunding market in Russia.
In the first quarter of 2022, over 3 billion rubles were invested through crowdfunding platforms. Currently, there are already 61 operators of investment platforms.
The most common type of crowdfunding is crowdlanding - the provision of collective loans to finance projects. It is attractive primarily for small and medium-sized businesses that need a quick and short-term replenishment of working capital. The share of this segment in 2021 accounted for 64%, or 9.06 billion rubles. In the first quarter of this year, 2.29 billion rubles were borrowed. Companies attracted investments at 15-35% per annum.
The second type of crowdfunding is crowdinvesting. This is a collective investment in companies through the purchase of their securities. In 2021, issuers were able to attract 4.74 billion rubles in this way, and 1.06 billion rubles in the first quarter of 2022.
