In the first quarter of 2026, 9 million retail loans (consumer loans, POS loans, credit cards, car loans and mortgages) were issued in the Russian Federation. This is 13.9% higher than in the same period of 2025, but 44.9% less than in the first quarter of 2024, according to the NBKI website.
In March 2026, 3.34 million retail loans were issued, which is 25.8% more year-on-year and 18.4% higher than in the previous month.
The largest number of retail loans issued in March 2026 was recorded in Moscow - 233 thousand, the Moscow Region (206.8 thousand), the Krasnodar Territory (148.5 thousand), St. Petersburg (122.3 thousand) and the Tyumen Region (113.4 thousand).
