In Yakutia, as a result of flooding on the Lena River, 105 adjacent territories, including 64 residential buildings, were flooded. Damage assessment commissions are working in settlements, residents have been evacuated to temporary accommodation. This is reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
About 16 thousand people and over 3 thousand pieces of equipment work in the region to combat floods and prevent possible emergencies. Rescuers control the water level in the rivers, erect temporary dams, and carry out blasting operations at the site of congestion. During the day, the Ministry of Emergency Situations carried out five explosions on the Lena River, in places there is a decrease in the water level.
