By the end of October 2025, 39.4 million individuals had brokerage accounts on the Moscow Stock Exchange. They have opened 74.2 million accounts. Transactions on the stock market of the Moscow Stock Exchange in October were concluded by 2.9 million people, of which 342 thousand were qualified private investors. In October, private investors invested 175.8 billion rubles in securities on the stock exchange. In particular, investments in bonds amounted to 112.7 billion rubles, in shares – 14.9 billion rubles, in fund units – 48.2 billion rubles.
The share of individuals in the volume of trading in shares and units of exchange–traded funds in October was 68%, in the volume of trading in bonds - 13%.
The most popular stocks in the portfolios of private investors in October were ordinary and preferred shares of Sberbank, shares of LUKOIL, Gazprom, VTB Bank, T-Technologies, Yandex, X5, Polyus and Norilsk Nickel.
