Industrial production in Russia in 2022 decreased by 0.6%

The volume of industrial production in the Russian Federation in 2022 decreased by 0.6%. In December 2022, industrial production fell by 4.3% year-on-year. Compared to November, the indicator increased by 10.9%. This was reported by Rosstat.

In December 2022, compared to December 2021, the volume of mineral extraction decreased by 2.6%. Manufacturing industries reduced output by 5.7%, industries related to water supply and sanitation, waste disposal and pollution elimination - by 8.2%. The indicators of the energy sector have not changed.

Oil and gas production decreased by 2.1%, metal ore production – by 8.6%. Coal production increased by 5.8%.

Among the manufacturing industries, the output of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers decreased the most - by 47.4%. The production of medicines and materials fell by 30.7%. At the same time, the output of tobacco products increased by 24.2%, clothing – by 10.4%.
