The volume of industrial production in the Russian Federation increased by 1.1% in the first quarter of 2025, and by 0.8% year–on-year in March. This is reported in the materials of the Ministry of Economic Development.
Manufacturing output increased by 4.7% in the first quarter and by 4% in March. The main positive contribution to the dynamics of manufacturing industries in March was made by the machine-building complex, providing 50% of the total output growth. The growth rate in the mechanical engineering industry was 10.9% in March and 13% in the first quarter. Output growth in the transport engineering industry reached 36.9% in March.
The mining sector in the first quarter showed a decrease of 3.7%, in March – by 4.1%. At the same time, in March, coal production increased by 0.4%, metal ores – by 1.3%.
