Consumer prices in the Russian Federation in December 2024 increased by 1.32% compared to the previous month, and by 9.52% compared to December 2023. This was reported by Rosstat.
A year earlier, in December 2023, inflation was 0.73% compared to the previous month, compared to December 2022, 7.42%.
According to Rosstat, the most expensive food products in 2024 were butter – by 36.23%, fruit and vegetable products (22.09%), frozen fish (+17.48%), milk and dairy products (+15.74%), sunflower oil (+12.69%).
Over the year, gasoline became more expensive by 11.13%, medicines - by 10.61%, building materials – by 7.91%, tobacco products – by 6.17%, household appliances – by 5.05%.
