Ingosstrakh, together with the Mail, found out which insurance programs Russians choose when planning a vacation. According to service analysts, in the second quarter of 2026, users issued more than 3 million policies. The basis of demand is comprehensive programs. This is stated in the message of Ingosstrakh.
Accident insurance has become the leader of the segment — 95% of users choose it. At the same time, Russians are increasingly applying for specialized policies, for example, against a tick bite, which is important for trips to regions with active natural tourism. Less than 10% of customers choose additional insurance options, including baggage and risk insurance for extreme sports.
The geography of trips directly affects the choice of Russians. In addition to Moscow and St. Petersburg, Sochi, where 16% of users will go, Novosibirsk (15%) and Yekaterinburg (12%) are among the popular destinations this summer.
Insurance for those traveling abroad is also among the most popular programs. Turkey became the leader among foreign destinations this summer: Istanbul and Antalya were chosen by 29% and 23% of users, respectively. Next in popularity are trips to Yerevan (21%), Minsk (15%) and Almaty (12%). The average check for such programs has almost halved, from 2,750 rubles in the 2025 season to 1,356 rubles in June 2026.
