In September 2025, 38.6 million individuals had brokerage accounts on the Moscow Stock Exchange, which is 244 thousand more than in September this year. This is reported on the exchange's website.
Investments of individuals in securities on the stock exchange in September 2025 increased 2.6 times year-on-year to a record 317 billion rubles. In particular, investments in shares amounted to 75.2 billion rubles, in bonds – 236.5 billion rubles, in fund units – 5.3 billion rubles.
The share of private investors in the volume of trading in stocks and units of exchange–traded funds in September was 65%, in the volume of trading in bonds - 14%.
The most popular stocks in the portfolios of private investors in September were ordinary and preferred shares of Sberbank, shares of LUKOIL, Gazprom, VTB Bank, T-Technologies, Yandex, Polyus, Rosneft and X 5.
