Investments of individuals in securities on the Moscow Stock Exchange increased by 70% in the first half of the year

The volume of investments of private investors in securities on the Moscow Stock Exchange in the first half of 2026 increased by 70% to 1.5 trillion rubles. This is reported on the exchange's website.

Investments of individuals in securities in June 2026 increased by 32% to RUB 264.1 billion year-on-year. Private investors' investments in stocks increased 6–fold to 30.2 billion rubles, and in bonds - 1.5-fold to 231 billion rubles. Investments in mutual funds amounted to 2.9 billion rubles.

The share of individuals in the volume of stock trading in June was 63.5%, in the volume of bond trading — 12.8%, in the futures market — 46.8%.

The most popular securities were ordinary and preferred shares of Sberbank (31.8% and 7.3%, respectively), ordinary shares of LUKOIL (11.6%), Gazprom (11.6%), VTB (9.7%), T-Technologies (6.6%), X5 (5.7%), Yandex (5.6%), Polyus (5.1%) and Norilsk Nickel (4.9%).
