MKPAO "Lenta" acquires assets of a network of hypermarkets in the DIY "OBI" format Russia". This is stated in the company's message.
The perimeter of the transaction will include 25 stores with a total retail area of 263 thousand square meters. m. The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia has already approved this acquisition.
Integration of OBI assets Russia is planned to occur in stages until May 2026.
OBI Russia unites stores in two main formats: traditional hypermarkets with an area of 12-15 thousand square meters and urban stores of a smaller format with an area of 4-8 thousand square meters with the most demanded assortment.
The OBI network has been operating in Russia since 2003. In March 2022, the company announced the suspension of operations in Russia and the sale of the business to a local investor. The chain's Russian stores reopened in late April and early May 2022.
