2.7 million tons of chemical and mineral fertilizers were shipped from Moscow Railway stations in January-May 2025, which is 15.3% more than in the same period of 2024. This was announced by the company.
The largest volumes were shipped from the stations of the Tula region Severnaya — 1.1 million tons, and Kaznacheyevka — 401,000 tons, the station Azotnaya of the Smolensk region — 729,000 tons, and the station Voskresensk, Moscow region — 330 thousand tons.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev said at a meeting with producers of mineral fertilizers that more than 70 million tons of mineral fertilizers could be produced in Russia in 2027. By 2030, the production of mineral fertilizers is planned to increase to 80 million tons. In 2024, the production of mineral fertilizers exceeded 63 million tons. This is 7% higher than a year earlier.
In the spring of 2025, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, at a meeting of the subcommittee on improving the sustainability of the financial sector and individual sectors of the economy, noted the high credit burden on producers of mineral fertilizers and the need to actively invest in the development of industrial enterprises.
Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov and Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut reported that the situation in the industry was generally stable, and the domestic market was fully supplied with mineral fertilizers. Russian-made products were also in demand on export markets, but market participants took into account the possible risks of shipments to unfriendly countries.

The net profit of Russian Railways holding in 2024 according to IFRS amounted to 50.7 billion rubles against 170.08 billion rubles a year earlier. The reduction is 70%. The total revenues of the holding increased by 9.2% to RUB 3.29 trillion.
Loading on the Russian Railways network in January-May 2025 fell by 7.3% to 465.2 million tons compared to a year earlier. Passenger traffic increased by 2.2% to 507.5 million compared to a year earlier.
Export shipments of fertilizers via the Russian Railways network in January–April 2025 increased by 35.2% to 14.5 million tons compared to a year earlier.
