Loading on the Russian Railways network decreased by 0.6% in January-August%

Loading on the Russian Railways network in January-August 2026 decreased by 0.6% to 734.1 million tons compared to a year earlier. This is stated in the company's message.

Loading and shipping of oil and petroleum products in wagons decreased by 7.4% to 122.3 million tons, chemical and mineral fertilizers — by 1.5% to 46.2 million tons.

Grain loading and shipping in wagons increased by 48.7% to 20.9 million tons.

Cargo turnover increased by 0.6% and amounted to 1.66 trillion tariff tonne-kilometers.

Loading in August 2026 amounted to 93 million tons, which is 0.9% more than in the same period of 2025. Cargo turnover increased by 2.4% and amounted to 207.5 billion tariff tonne-kilometers.

JSC "Russian Railways" (TIN 7708503727) was established on October 1, 2003 on the basis of the Ministry of Railways. The state owns 100% of the company's shares.

According to RA AK&M, by the end of 2024, Russian Railways are among the leaders in the social efficiency rating of the largest Russian companies.

Russian Railways' RAS net profit for 2025 increased by 1.4% to 14.1 billion rubles from 13.8 billion rubles a year earlier. EBITDA amounted to 984.2 billion rubles with an increase of 16.3%.

Russian Railways' financial expenses in 2025 amounted to 534.1 billion rubles, which is why net profit for 2025 under IFRS decreased to 2.3 billion rubles from 50.7 billion rubles in 2024. Revenue from passenger transportation increased by 13% to RUB 473.1 billion.
