At the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant (BMZ is part of Transmashholding JSC), local treatment facilities have been put into operation, which clean waste solutions on a highly automated phosphating line. Their launch allowed the plant to reduce the negative environmental impact of harmful factors exerted during the chemical processing of parts. This is stated in the message of Transmashholding.

The equipment of local sewage treatment plants purchased as part of the TMH 2022 investment program is installed in the workshop of shunting locomotives of BMZ. The project became part of the strategy for the implementation of the TMH Sustainable Development Policy adopted in 2022. The document provides, in particular, obligations for the rational use of water resources.

Local treatment facilities are designed to collect acidic and alkaline waste waste solutions formed as a result of chemical treatment of parts, their further purification in reactors using various reagents. Local treatment facilities are equipped with settling tanks, filters, pumping equipment, level sensors with filling alarm. The uninterrupted operation of the equipment is provided by the operators of local treatment facilities.

New local sewage treatment plants allow to obtain technically purified water at the outlet, suitable in its composition for discharge into the collector of urban sewerage. As a result of the introduction of equipment, the number of types formed on the liquid waste phosphating line has decreased, the costs of the enterprise for waste management have decreased.

In 2022, more than 6 million rubles were allocated to BMZ for measures aimed at minimizing the negative impact on the environment. Work on improving the environment is also being carried out as part of the modernization of production. So, since 2015, new paint and shot blasting chambers have been installed at the plant, which allowed reducing the level of pollutants into the atmosphere.

Bryansk Machine-Building Plant (Bryansk) is the largest enterprise in the machine-building industry specializing in the production of shunting and mainline locomotives.

JSC Transmashholding (TIN 7723199790) unites transport engineering enterprises that develop and produce electric locomotives, diesel locomotives, passenger and freight cars, diesel locomotives and marine diesel engines, subway cars, electric and diesel trains, car casting, components and equipment for railway rolling stock.

TMH is a Russian company with headquarters in Moscow and international divisions in Switzerland, Hungary, South Africa, Egypt, Argentina, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The structure of the holding includes 15 production and assembly sites in Russia and other countries of the world, and the geography of work covers more than 30 countries.
