Mikhail Mamuta, a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia, has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia. This is stated in the press service of the regulator.
Previously, M.Mamuta was the head of the Service for Consumer Protection and Accessibility of Financial Services (NWPPDF).
In addition, the work of the NWPPiODFU will be reorganized in the structure of the Central Bank. Two new divisions will be formed on the basis of the service: the Consumer Protection Service (NWPP) and the Department of Behavioral Supervision (DPN).
The Consumer Protection Service will focus on regulatory and analytical functions in the areas of consumer protection, consumer interaction, financial literacy and accessibility.
The Behavioral Supervision Department will carry out reactive and preventive behavioral supervision, methodological support of behavioral supervision.
Ekaterina Butova will become the acting head of the NWPP, and Sergey Kolganov will become the acting director of the DPN.
Previously, they held the positions of deputy heads of NWPPiODFU. M.Mamuta will be in charge of the activities of these divisions. NWPPiODFU will be abolished in December 2026.
