Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin appointed Valery Pikalyov head of the Federal Customs Service. This is reported on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
V.Pikalyov was born in 1968. He graduated from the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. In 1986-2018 he served in the Armed Forces of the USSR and the Russian Federation. Then he worked in the Government of the Leningrad Region as Deputy Chairman for Security.
Since 2019, he has held the position of Vice-governor – head of the administration of the Governor of St. Petersburg, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
