Magnit has received the first certificate of compliance with organic production. Now the packages of champignons grown in the mushroom complex "Magnita" will have a national organic product mark, the retailer said in a statement.

The certificate of conformity was issued by the certification body subordinate to Roskachestvo. LLC "TC "Green Line" (Magnita enterprise, certified) was included in the Unified State Register of Organic Producers of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

The certificate confirms that Magnit grows champignons according to all the rules of organic production (for example, without the use of genetically modified organisms, raw materials, plant protection products, substances for soil improvement). During the certification process, all aspects of production, storage and transportation of products were checked: input control of raw materials, technological processes of the compost preparation shop, mushroom growing shop, packing department, warehouse, product packaging features, up to detergents used by employees of the enterprise.

Now Magnit will be able to place on packages of champignons of its own production, which are sold online under the brands "My Price" and "Magnet Freshness", a single state mark of organic products: a white sheet on a green background with the inscriptions "Organic" and Organic. A barcode will be applied next to the graphic sign, with which you can get information about the manufacturing company and the types of products it produces. In addition, the term "Organic product" will be indicated on the packaging.

According to Roskachestvo, Magnit became the first retail chain in Russia with its own organic production.

PJSC Magnit (Krasnodar, TIN 2309085638) is a holding company of a group of companies engaged in retail trade through the eponymous chain of stores. Magnit's net profit under IFRS for the first half of 2022 increased by 39.6% to 32 billion rubles. EBITDA amounted to 80.1 billion rubles. Total revenue increased by 38.2% to 1.13 trillion rubles.
