Magnit and Mosenergosbyt will provide 75 convenience stores in Moscow with electricity generated by wind farms. This is stated in the company's message.
The retail chain bought "green" certificates confirming the production of 13 million kWh of electricity from renewable sources. This volume will fully compensate for the annual energy consumption of 75 retail outlets in the capital by the end of the year.
Mosenergosbyt became a partner of the transaction, provided registration and repayment of certificates in the interests of Magnit.
The electricity, confirmed by "green" certificates, was generated at the Tselinskaya, Salynskaya and Kochubeyevskaya wind farms. The green certificate ensures that the equivalent amount of energy consumed corresponds to generation from renewable sources.
