Russian ministries and departments have indicated the need for additional funding from the federal budget for 2023 and for the planning period of 2024 and 2025 in the amount of 5 trillion rubles annually. This is reported by the Ministry of Finance following the results of the meeting of the working group of the Government Commission on budget projections.

The Working Group considered the proposals of ministries and departments on the additional need for federal budget allocations for 2023 and for the planning period of 2024 and 2025.

"The formation of the draft federal budget for 2023-2025 is carried out in fundamentally new economic and financial conditions of unprecedented sanctions pressure and the rupture of established economic ties," Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said.

The planning period, according to him, is characterized by high risks to the balance of the federal budget. "The country is facing new challenges, and we need to focus budget policy on the implementation of these priorities. On the one hand, it is necessary not to disrupt macroeconomic stability based on financial stability. On the other hand, to fulfill all the commitments made and ensure the fulfillment of the set goals in the economy and in the social sphere," the minister stressed.
